Sunhaze

Collaboration with JFY Studios

This was an immersive music and art based event, with the aim of encouraging people to unwind, reconnect, and create in this shared space. The event was put together and organised by Sunhaze, an amazing Bristol based events space and was the last of this year's summer nature series.

I was asked to collaborate with them on this project as my work is based around the idea of connection between land, body, and soul, with my 'Gaia' and 'Rooted Souls' collections being selected to form part of the set design.

Each of these pieces have been created using natural dyes, and vegan inks which have been screen-printed in several layers onto waste bamboo fabric, and hung within hand built bamboo frames. The idea behind these collections was to create immersive instillation artworks which connect with the landscape through the unique framing.

As well as helping to create the space, I also created promotional materials for use across social media and posters, sold prints from a market stall corner, and created live art pieces throughout the event, as the chosen live artist! We welcomed around 50 people to this intimate and immersive event, which I think all would agree was a success!

Below are a series of live art pieces which were created throughout the duration of the event. I then edited each piece in combination with photographic elements, to bring together both human and natural realms within the event.
